Yay! Car is home now. US$450 later.
What did I get for US$450?

Today I brought my car to my friend's shop for its overdue clutch job. His shop is in South San Francisco, about 16 miles as the crow flies or 23 on the sucky roads of San Francisco.
It's bad enough when your primary mode of transport (motorbike) is not working right. Ignition problems.
But it's worse when your backup mode of transport (car) craps out. The clutch won't declutch.
And the repair shop is 15 miles (1.3 hours via local roads) from my house!
Crap!
So after being up REALLY late last night trying to upgrade my MT installation, I ran into a LOT of bugs. "What kind?" you ask? Well...
So I've upgraded MovableType to 3.15 from 2.66, mostly to combat the massive amounts of comment spam that this site seems to attract.
I was in Napa this past Sunday, having lunch at CIA in St. Helena. Great food lah!
Across the street is the Charles Krug winery that boasts of having the "best white wine in the USA". Now I wouldn't know too much about that (I usually drink reds), but the view was nice right after the rain broke.

Sapporo brews a special malt beer called "Yebisu". It's delicious!
Except they stopped importing it to the US in 2004. Can't find it ANYWHERE!
Except in Japan, of course. There's a Yebisu Bar, a Yebisu Limited brew, a dark beer called Yebisu Black and they're available all over Japan from Kyushu to Hokkaido, from vending machines to combini to your favourite izukaya.
Just a tad thirsty today, that's all...since it IS St. Patrick's Day today!
Hmmm.
There's a new airport in Nagoya. Just completed and positioning itself as a hub for central Japan (with Tokyo Narita/Haneda to the north and Osaka Kansai to the south).
Best of all, UA is offering double miles and r/t for US$388! Cheap lah!
It costs more to fly to New York than it does to go to Japan!
